Dermal Fillers Explained

April 20, 2016

We all know our faces change over time. When we are young our cheeks, jawline and upper face in particular, are full of volume and well defined. It is this volume that gives us youthful curves. When a person’s face loses volume, it can cause this person to look tired and older than we feel. Significant weight loss and long-term stress can play a part, although it is the gradual loss of volume that causes our face to change its contours over the years. Once volume is lost, it cannot be replaced by moisterisers. Moisterisers or lotions cannot penetrate deep to reverse skin sagging or to rebuild the supporting layers below. Dermal fillers is a great option to re-volumise the skin. As I have been injecting for the past 11 years I inject Dermal Fillers in Cheeks, Temples, Jawline and of course Lips to increase volume.

WHAT IS A DERMAL FILLER? This product is an injectable gel which is a complex sugar molecule that restores natural facial contours. It is placed below the skins surface to “fill in” or “plump up” static facial wrinkles and folds. The products can last up to 12 months to 2 years depending on the need to correct mild to severe facial lines and folds.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? This treatment gives results that can be seen immediately and the majority of people resume their normal activity immediately following the procedure. This is a Non- Surgical procedure and should be performed by an experienced and trained medical professional.
